Amazon Fishing Typical Day

FLY- IN FLOATING CABINS

Once in Manaus, you will travel to a remote and secluded fishing area. See lodging access options.

We try to personalize each day’s fishing schedule to better suit your preferences.

Each evening, the manager will discuss the following day plan with you.

You will typically be awakened at 6:30 a.m. by one of the members of our staff. Breakfast will be served by 7:00, and your guide will be ready to leave by 7:30.

You may start to fish in the adjoining lagoons while the Fly- In Floating Cabins navigate to unfished river segments.

At midday you may return for lunch and a nap on the fully air-conditioned Fly-In Floating Cabins, or you may take a packed lunch prepared by our cook and continue fishing until late in the afternoon.

Appetizers and dinner are served after all guests have returned.

BLACK WATER EXPLORER HOUSEBOAT

Once in Manaus, you will travel to reach a main waterway, as close as possible to your fishery. See lodging access options

We try to personalize each day’s fishing schedule to better suit your preferences.

Each evening, the manager will discuss the following day plan with you.

A typical day starts with wake-up at 6:30 a.m. Breakfast will be served by 7:00 a.m. (you will have time to prepare your lunchbox) and your guide will be ready to leave by 7:30 a.m.

The lagoons where you will be fishing are about half an hour to two hour’s distance away. At midday, your guide will grill a fish on a sandy beach and find a shady spot to set up hammocks. You will be able to fish until late afternoon, when the guide gives you a signal that it is time to return to the Black Water Explorer houseboat.

Dinner is usually served after all guests have returned.

For your comfort and in order to optimize fishing time, the houseboat will usually travel to new locations during the night.
