Mid-Week Fishing Report: July 14 – 16, 2018 (2 ½ days)

2.224 Landed Peacock Bass at the Marmelos river

Last week the Smith group (8 anglers) closed their fishing week with an outstanding fishcount of 2.224 landed peacock bass, setting a challenging benchmark for the rest of the season.

Last Saturday our Floating-Suites at our Marmelos river private fishery, received the Roos group, who had a good start with 558 landed peacock bass, 22 of which were above the 10 lbs. mark.

Weather forecast for the rest of the week is excellent (see below Manicoré chart) and water levels should continue to drop at a normal rate. Suites are expected to move towards the lake zone during the week.

Dry-Zone S.East

Water levels are 1.75 ft. above optimal level and dropping (see graph below – Humaita). Weather forecast confirms tendency showing no significant rain episodes (see forecast below – Manicore).

NOTE that the yellow area at the North affecting the Amazon basin and our fisheries makes us believe that it might have a positive influence (70%) in our fisheries, averting extreme water levels for the rest of the season.

Weather forecast for Manicore ,  in the area of influence of the Marmelos private fishery shows no significant rain episodes for the rest of the week.
