On Week 24 the Hershey party from Washington closed this year’s chapter on dreams that are worth chasing — 2,119 peacocks! River Plate turned their dreams into reality by moving across 3 flooded water basins into perfect water levels. This is the essence of what defines fishing with River Plate.
TOTAL ANGLERS: 8
TOTAL PEACOCKS: 2119
OVER 10 lbs: 84
OVER 16 lbs: 3
OVER 20 lbs: 1

LIFE MEMORIES: Dr. Gustav, a seasoned peacock angler, wished his eight-year-old son Noah to jump start into the father’s passions. On the very first day they embarked on a 40 minute adventurous mission deep into the forest, drawn by the promise of their guide Haniery, of finding a hidden deep lagoon. Every step forward was fueled by the excitement of what awaited them. On Noah’s very first feeble, hopeless 10-foot topwater cast into the still, quiet water, a surface explosion erupted that frightened the father and son even more than the peacock itself! A father-and-son dream neither of them would forget.
RAINFALL MANAGEMENT: We are currently fishing inside the red oval dry zone marked in the below map. Inside this area River Plate controls 3 Private Rivers (of a total of 14 in all of our areas) with six River Trains on standby for our start up on week 25 (Jan 2-9 ,2026)

The red outline is surrounded with blue, green and yellow colors meaning above 2 inches of expected rain fall but since this area is below 2 inches, expect a face-to-face confrontation against River Plate’s monsters with a multifarious array of tropical species.
Currently, water levels should remain stable as shown in the drawing below.
