Mid-Week Fishing Report: July 07 – 09, 2018 (2 ½ days)

Consistent yields at our Marmelos river private fishery.

The Smith group (8 anglers) arrived last Saturday to our Floating Suites, stationed at the Marmelos river, they had a good start with 778 landed peacock bass, the largest of which weighed 16 lbs. The Matos group ended the week with a 1.779 landed peacock bass, and a 19lbs landmark to beat.

Weather conditions continue to be fine, and water levels keep dropping at a normal rate. Consistent yields are expected for the near future of this fantastic fishery, naturally subject to the abilities of our visiting anglers.

Dry-Zone S.East

Water levels are 1.75 ft. above optimal level and dropping (see graph below – Humaita). Weather forecast confirms tendency showing no significant rain episodes (see forecast below – Manicore).

NOTE that the yellow area at the North affecting the Amazon basin and our fisheries makes us believe that it might have a positive influence (70%) in our fisheries, averting extreme water levels for the rest of the season.

Weather forecast for Manicore ,  in the area of influence of the Marmelos private fishery shows some storms but no significant rain episodes for the rest of the week
