GETTING TO OUR PRIVATE RIVERS

GETTING TO MANAUS, AMAZON

The arrival city for your trip to the Amazon is Manaus, the capital of the State of Amazonas, Brazil. It is a 5-hour non-stop flight from Miami with evening departures on American Airlines 2 to 3 times a week. Manaus can also be reached via daily overnight flights from most major cities in the US and elsewhere via Sao Paulo. This routing takes substantially more time, however, as there is a layover in Sao Paulo. Also, most flights from San Paulo arrive in Manaus too late to catch a same-day float plane, forcing an extra overnight at a nearby 4- to 5-star hotel.

GETTING TO OUR PRIVATE RIVERS.

Our parties of 6 to 8 anglers fly into our 6 River Trains at 6 a.m. every Saturday on Cessna Caravan turboprop float planes that depart from a domestic airport in Manaus. Flights take from 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on the river to be fished. Our local departure schedule requires guests to arrive in Manaus on Friday. Most arrive on the nonstop American Airlines flight from Miami International Airport, and they catch that same flight back to Miami a week later at just after midnight, touching down in the US at dawn on Saturday.
