Breaking waters at the Igapó Açu river private fishery

    Last Saturday we received the Benson group who are breaking waters at our Igapó Açu river private fishery, Floating suites stationed in the lower part will be fishing their way upriver looking for the best fishing areas.  The Ferreira group (also a small group of 6 anglers) arrived simultaneously to the upper Matupiri where they already set a benchmark trophy of almost 19lbs. in the last 2 ½ days. Although water levels continue to be a bit high they continue dropping and are very fishable. Last week anglers broke yet again the 3.000 landed peacock bass mark, largest of which weighed 15lbs. This weeks Floating Suites are maneuvering in order to increase the trophy chances of visiting anglers. Best working reported lures are jigs, mid water, and propellers. This week our scouts have reported that our new fishery at the headwaters of the Uneuixi river is very near to presenting good fishing conditions. We will be determining water breaking dates in the next few days.

Great action at the Matupirí river private fishery.

Last week´s groups fishing at the Matupiri river private fishery, obtained a significant mean of 32 peacock bass per angler per day, seasoned with other species as jacundas, bicudas, piranhas, matrinxas and some sardinhas. Water levels are still a bit high but great action is unaffected. Sizes are yet sub standard, and we expect sizes to increase as water levels drop, largest peacock bass weighed 17 lbs.. Last weekend anglers landed 1.322 peacock bass in just 2 ½ days, and they are expected to keep enjoying excellent weather conditions with no significant rain episodes for the rest of the week. Mid water lures are reported to be working best under these conditions.

3.000+ PEACOCK BASS AT OUR MATUPIRI RIVER

PRIVATE FISHERY

  3.310 landed peacock bass was the outstanding final number for the Nunes group last week at our Matupiri river private fishery. No trophies larger than 18lbs but hopefully this week they will start appearing as water levels drop.  Water levels are a bit high but healthily dropping as expected, rainfall forecasts confirm the tendency for the coming week. Self evident but worth mentioning is that the fishery is granting serious action for visiting anglers. Last Saturday we received two groups that are near the 1.500 fish-count mark (in just 2 1/12 days) and enjoying good fishing conditions with no significant rain episodes in the days to come.  Best working lures as reported by the hosts are mid water lures, perversas, yo-zuri, etc.
