MID-WEEK FISHING REPORT: AUGUST 05 –07 (2 ½ DAYS)

1.720 LANDED PEACOCK BASS LAST WEEK AT THE MARMELOS

Last week’s mixed group of bait-casters and fly-fishermen/women landed more than 50 peacock bass over the 10 lbs. mark, the largest of which exceeded 18lbs.. Fish-count exceeded all expectations. This week´s group have already landed more than 90 peacock bass per angler in just 2 ½ days, and keep on enjoying perfect fishing conditions (see below). Reported working lures this weekend are perverse, jumping minnow, safada and jigs. The Floating Suites are positioned in Dry-Zone S.East with almost perfect weather conditions for the rest of the week (see below forecast for Manicoré).

Dry-Zone S.East RIVERS: MARMELOS (see map at the top). Open for peacock bass fishing. Water levels are excellent (see diagrams below). Weather forecast shows minor tropical rain episode. Fishing conditions for peacock bass continue to be ideal. Marmelo´s graphic water levels are as follows:

Weather forecast for Manicoré

CPTEC / INPE Rainfall forecast for this quarter The above diagram depicts the rainfall probability for three months. The pale orange zone in the North forecasts a probability of about 45% that the rainfall will be below the historical mean. Therefore there will be a chance, that the water cycle develops earlier in the coming months in the North of Manaus (Dry-Zones N.West and N.East).

All other Regions( see map above) have high water levels and are not yet open for this 2017 – 2018 season. This illustrates de importance of mobility within these 4 distinct Dry Zone areas. All other Regions graphic water levels are as follows:

MID-WEEK FISHING REPORT: JULY 29 – 31 (2 ½ DAYS)

MARMELOS RIVER PRIVATE FISHERY AT IT´S FINEST

Last week ended with every and each angler landing over 247 peacock bass of which 28 exceeded the 10 lbs mark with the largest one weighing 17 lbs. Sight fishing on the Marmelos Indian Reseve is outstanding! Anglers landed 956 Peacock Bass in only 2 1/2 days of which 103 where over 10 lbs , two 16 lbs, and two 18 lbs .Aproximately one third of the over 10 pounders where sight fished. The Floating Suites are positioned in Dry-Zone S.East with perfect weather conditions for the rest of the week (see below forecast for Manicoré).

Dry-Zone S.East RIVERS: MARMELOS (see map at the top). Open for peacock bass fishing. Water levels have descended since last week and are now perfect (see diagrams below). Weather forecast is also perfect. Fishing conditions for peacock bass are ideal at this moment.

Mid-Week Fishing report: July 22 – 24, 2017 (2 1/2 days)

PERFECT FISHING CONDITIONS AT THE MARMELOS RIVER PRIVATE FISHERY Last week the number of landed peacock bass on the Marmelo´s was 1.035, with the largest one weighing 16 lbs, by our first three anglers in the season. This week´s group landed in two and a half days, a very promising average of 72 peacock bass per angler, of which an average of 12 exceeded the 10 lbs mark, and, the largest of which weighed over 17 lbs..They also caught Tambaqui, Jacundas, bicudas, Piranhas. The best performing lures were topwater lures, jump minnow, and for fly fishermen large Mickey-fins color streamers. They are enjoying almost perfect water levels. The Floating Suites are positioned in Dry-Zone S.East with perfect weather conditions for the rest of the week (see below forecast for Manicoré).

WATER LEVEL FORECAST – (AMAZON BASIN 4 DRY REGIONS)

Dry-Zone S.East RIVERS: MARMELOS (see map at the top). Open for peacock bass fishing. Water levels have decended since last week and are almost perfect (see diagrams below). Weather forecast is perfect. Fishing conditions for peacock bass are expected to continue improving, reaching ideal conditions in the next 3 to 8 days. The 3 month weather forecast for the region issued by the Brazilian CPTEC (http://clima1.cptec.inpe.br/) confirms that we should expect a season with a normal water cycle, with almost no impact from El Niño or La Niña.
